On New Year's Eve 2012 and then, a tourist from England, Stephen Ashton (22), were shot during a clash between two groups of youths Thailand at a beach party island of Koh Phangan. Ashton was killed, leaving questions about the safety of tourists on the island is famous for its beaches party.
Apparently, a fight very common at parties on the island, especially when the days are getting night. Tourists were asked to be extra vigilant while on Koh Phangan. Since 2009, it has been noted that there are nine British tourists killed in Thailand. They are the victims of fighting between local residents.
